Here is where you can download OPT files. My area of emphasis is texturing moons, planets and asteroids, so that describes mainly what you will find on this page. Some files may be available in XMOD format. To use XMODs, you will have to download the X-wing Install System (XIS) from Defiant's Flying Temple.

The default Pirate Shipyard has been retextured with photo-realistic textures similar to that of the Asteroid Hangar. Four flight group colors are included.

High quality asteroid textures have been added to this OPT to include four flight group colors. The color schemes are similar to that of the Asteroid Hangar and Pirate Shipyard for the creation of matching asteroid fields in missions. Version 1.1 update includes a fix for the blurry textures experienced in the original release. The textures now appear in sharp detail. However, this OPT will not work in software mode.

All six original asteroids in XWA have been replaced by highly detailed models with photo realistic textures derived from NASA images. Also, the asteroids are much larger than the default TG versions so you can create more realistic asteroid fields. In order to provide high quality texture appearances in the game, these asteroids do not have software vectors and will not work in software mode.
